We're always fascinated with new and different ways to view news, so when we were shown new news aggregator Interceder AND we found out it was built on home turf, we did a happy dance.
Interceder is a mash-up, which pulls info from a variety of sources to display what people are searching for right now. Click into one of the topics listed and you're given all the latest news articles and associated images and videos. You can also view searches across Australia, the UK and USA.
We are also particularly interested in the 'average tone' gauge, which is an attempt to give users and idea of the overall sentiment of the news coverage.
While its still early days for this project, it has merit in pulling a variety of content sources together in a format that is easy to access and navigate. We'll be keeping an eye on this one.
