Following up on our blogpost earlier this week about Newsmaps, we give you MSNBC's Spectra Visual Reader.
Like Newsmaps, Spectra merges the news spectrum and the color spectrum to form a new news viewing experience. Based only on MSNBC's news coverage, Spectra allows users add news channels, specify regions, search by keywords, save articles to view later and to click through to the original online article.
It also features a 3D spinning orbit of all the headlines in the news channels you've selected. Very cool. Although I'm not sure if it really adds to the usability of a the website - for me, it was there more for the 'wow' factor.
Go on and give a whirl here.
