1. Based on your Wrapup 08, your roster looks very healthy. What's the Stellar* edge over other agencies?
We know our stuff, we do what we say we’ll do, we care about doing a good job, we like our clients and what they do, and we really like and respect each other which makes work fun. The last point is really important. If your team doesn’t like each other, you can’t give your best to clients or the business.
2. Biggest career highlight to date?
Being appointed New Media Director this year.
3. The Stellar* blog looks terrific. What insights would you share with other bloggers?
Plan your blog - know the purpose, the audience, the topics you will and won’t write about. Write in the first person, write regularly and write about things that are of value to others and that are remarkable (people talk about things that are remarkable not boring). Don’t forget that a blog is about two-way dialogue – it’s meant for conversation - so write to support that.
4. What are the biggest advantages to using Slice for your business over other media monitoring agencies?
Slice is more affordable than other services we’ve used and the service is comparable – if not better. I also like being able to log into the account to see the clippings to date.
5. Any advice for other Slice subscribers?
Use the excellent support staff. While you can manage the account yourself, the support from Slice is still really great and has actually saved me time. Any adjustments to my account have been dealt with right away.
