Twitter makes it outdoors...

Loved this billboard by Wholefoods in the States... although I think it should say 'tweeting'... but, meh... you get the message. Would have been a nice touch to add the Twitter URL perhaps?

Is your outdoor this interactive?

Loving San Francisco's Zoo for this campaign. Posted at 9 locations around San Franscisco, the bus shelter posters are designed for people to stand in front of, take the shape of an animal and then post their picture on the Our SF Zoo website.

As part of the Zoo's Critter Quest campaign, this interactive outdoor campaign was designed to build on the Zoo's mission to "connect people with wildlife, inspiring caring for nature and advance conservation action".

Instead of just showing pictures of the animals, the Zoo wanted people to re-connect with them and to our own childhood curiosities about what being an animal must be like.

Check out www.oursfzoo.org for more info. Makes waiting for the bus a whole lot more fun.

Green Graffiti

From Springwise we came across a nifty bunch of enterprising eco warriors in the Netherlands, who claim to have set up a completely carbon neutral outdoor advertising alternative. GreenGraffiti uses a template and a high pressure water sprayer to 'clean' an advertising message out of dirt. The result is a high impact message and a clean street!

The business does not currently operate in Australia - and given water restrictions it might be a difficult business to get off the ground locally... but then again, there's always recycled or grey water? And we're guessing for a crew who power their website by 'wind and sun' that the advertising templates are fully recyclable?
